Description
The Expenses template is a simple expense logging system. It consists of two libraries, one to store the top-level expense claim along with details such as when it was submitted and when it was paid and the other stores the expense claim items.

Usage Notes
To customise the system you should edit the Expense Type field in the Expense Items library and the Mileage Allowance Fixed field in the same library and enter your company’s mileage allowance.

The system will calculate the claim for mileage for you in the Mileage Value field but you will need to manually copy this amount into the Amount field yourself.

So where and how do I install this?

In the File menu select ‘Import’ and then select ‘Template…’.

Simon, I’m still confused. If I download your “Expense Template” (into my Mac “Downloads” folder) and then follow your instructions (above) to goto the file menu and select ‘Import’ and then select ‘Template…” I end up with two new Libraries – “Expense Sheets” and “Expense Items”. Which is OK, but what I thought I would also get is the opportunity to reuse the templates by finding the template(s) under File “New Library from Template” I cannot “see” the template(s) in the templates list? Where are these stored? and how do I get them into the templates list to reuse or modify them?

Hi Tommy. Unfortunately the Bento developers decided to use the term template without considering the fact that the user-exportable and importable templates are different from their own templates which you base a new library on.

The best way to re-use a third-party template is simply to re-import it.
